The Ultimate Dog has been a dream of mine for well over 5 years now. I started achieving this dream when I purchased Whiskers Pet Grooming, a well established grooming salon in 2006. It was my belief that this was the best stepping stone to expanding into Doggie Daycare and Retail. I felt by building my own reputation and getting to know my clientele that not only would I feel more confident in the expansion but so would my customers.
I have taken my time in opening because I wanted to be sure that nothing was overlooked. I didn't want to just open a doggie daycare to make money. I wanted to make sure that the dogs were my first priority. By implementing some of the elements that you will see here at The Ultimate Dog, you will understand that your dog's safety and well-being is first and foremost in our minds. The staff I have hand picked all have prior experience working with dogs in some capacity whether they are trainers, vet techs or doggie daycare and kennel attendants.
My husband and I own three wonderful dogs, all of who were a big part of the inspiration for this venture. Unfortunately, our Goldie passed away this January, she was the inspiration behind our Senior Dog Room. We love and miss her. I use to go to work 5 days a week, 12 hours a day and left my dogs home. No fun for them or for me, I wanted something more to give them. My dogs, August, Lakota and Kiawa are my kids and without them my life would be hollow and boring. They have given us such joy and happiness that we decided to give them back some joy and happiness of their own. We hope you feel the same about your dog and will become a part of our furry family. Thanks for checking us out.
